County Police Report

The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded in recent weeks. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.

Fifth District

Aggravated assault

´On July 30 at 1:15 p.m., in the 12900 block of Falling Water Circle in Germantown. Domestic related.

´On. July 30 at 4:15 p.m., in the 12600 block of Grey Eagle Court in Germantown. Domestic related. A 20-year-old male known to the victim was arrested.

´On Aug. 1 at 4 p.m., in the 18200 block of Smoke House Court in Germantown. A victim walking home was grabbed by a male who displayed a knife. The victim began to struggle with that man and was stabbed in the arm. Another male knocked the victim to the ground and took personal property.

Strong-arm robbery

´On Aug. 3 between 12:22 and 12:27 a.m., in the 19700 block of Germantown Road in Germantown. The victim was approached from behind by three teenage females, one of whom the victim recognized. Property was taken.

´On Aug. 2 at 11:32 p.m., at Mateny Road and Sparrows Point Place in Germantown. A victim walking home from work was approached from behind by two men who demanded money, began to hit the victim and took personal property.

Theft

´Between Aug. 1 and 2, in the 22400 block of Whites Ferry Road in Dickerson. No forced entry; copper piping taken from a house under construction.

Vandalism

´Overnight between July 28 and 29, on Red Blazer Drive, Hilton Road, Muscari Court, King Valley Road, Preakness Drive, Hailey Drive and Damascus Park Terrace in Damascus. In all incidents the vehicle window was broken.

Vehicle larceny

´Scottsburg Drive, Great Park Circle, Tewkesbury Terrace, Grassy Knoll Terrace, Clark Meadows Court, Manor Crest Lane, Cedarhurst Way and Timber Creek Lane in Germantown, between July 28 and Aug. 5. Nine thefts from vehicles. Entry gained in five of the vehicles by force. Property targeted included GPS units and loose change.

´Germantown Road, Crystal Rock Drive, Summer Oak Court, Galway Bay Circle, St. Peter Court, Circle Gate Drive and Caledonia Court in Germantown, between July 28 and Aug. 5. Of the seven larcenies, three occurred overnight between July 31 and Aug. 1. Entry was made in majority of the vehicles by breaking a window. Property targeted included GPS units and auto stereos.

´Cornflower Road, Kings Crossing Boulevard, Mill House Court, Autumn Gold Road, Bayberry Drive, Metz Drive, Autumn Mist Drive, McFarlin Drive, Lullaby Road, Crosstie Drive, Lark Song Terrace, Harvest Glen Way, Sawyer Terrace and Highstream Drive in Germantown, between July 28 and Aug. 5. Sixteen vehicle larcenies. Seven overnight between Aug. 3 and 4 in the Germantown Estates Community, and in each incident entry was gained by breaking a window.

Commercial burglary

´Daly Optimal Learning Center, 20301 Brandermill Drive in Germantown, overnight between July 31 and Aug. 1. No forced entry; property taken.

´Jon's Video, 17710 Elgin Road in Poolesville, overnight between Aug. 1 and 2. Unknown entry; property taken.

Residential burglary

´12400 block of Great Park Circle in Germantown, between 2 and 3 p.m. Aug. 4. No forced entry; property taken.

´14300 block of Autumn Gold Road in Boyds, overnight between July 29 and 30. No forced entry; nothing taken.

´14000 block of Gallop Terrace in Germantown, between 2 and 9:40 p.m. July 30. Forced entry; nothing taken.

´18600 block of Tarragon Way in Germantown, between 8:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Aug. 1. Forced entry; property taken.
