Marjorie Stewart, 67, a longtime resident of the KenGar neighborhood of Kensington, remembers when her children were first allowed to attend Kensington Elementary following desegregation of the school. The traditionally all-black neighborhood of KenGar has diversified significantly since then, along with the rest of the Kensington area. "Now this is an international neighborhood," she said. "Everybody is in here now."
