What are your top three priorities for the next four years, if elected?
Education, Economic Development & Public Safety.
How would you rate the performance of the current council: excellent, good, fair or poor? Why?
Excellent; Because we have shared leadership and County interest while serving as district representatives.
Is the rate of growth in District 8 too fast, too slow or just right?
Just Right
What programs would you add to the budget and how would you pay for them?
Programs that provide trade opportunities for young people who are not interested in attending traditional colleges.
Should National Harbor be built with a mandatory percentage of all contracts going to minority-owned businesses? If so, what amount and why?
National Harbor should be built with the citiznes of Prince George’s included in the contractual benifits that it offers.
Should there be any changes to the current adequate public facilities laws?
All Legislation has room for assessment in periodic intervals to ensure its affectiveness and, have a positive impact on citizens quality of life.
Does the council have too much, not enough or the right amount of oversight of the school system?
Right amount
Are there any programs, taxes or fees that should be cut? What would you do with the money from the savings?

Do you support day labor centers in Prince George’s County?
I support the rights of all working people; However, when public money is spent, it is mandatory that the public be included in any dicussion on how these monies are dispersed.
What qualifications do you possess that make you a worthy candidate?
I have been elected twice in this capacity and feel confident that I will continue to represent in the manner of which I was elected.
What would you do to ensure the success of the county’s key economic development projects?
I will support key projects in a manner that is in the best interest of the citizenry.
What must be done to ensure the long-term success of Prince George’s Hospital Center?
There needs to be a strategic plan that provides long term and short term solutions to what plagues the hospital system today.
What are the biggest challenges to significantly reducing crime in Prince George’s County?
Parental involvement.
How would you address the population shift from Washington, D.C., and the problems it poses for Prince George’s County?
Taxing our resources is not solely due to those entering Prince George’s from the District of Columbia, they also come from Virginia and other areas that find Prince George’s County a livable community. Proper Planning and discussion is required to address this work in progress.
Do you support allowing slots in Prince George’s? If so, where?
The discussion of slots, in Prince George’s County, is a premature question at this time. First, the State of Maryland must approve slots before, any discussion of where slots should go, can be considered. At that time, the voice of the people, must be part of the discussion if slots are to be considered in Prince George’s County.
Do you support an east-west metro link and where should it go?
I support transportation projects that will get citizens around more efficiently, the location should be based on that and information from planners.
