Previously, Palleiko was principal and founder of Intrepid Merchant Partners and also worked for Penwest Pharmaceuticals, Suntrust Robinson Humphrey and Robertson Stephens.
The Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center named Michele Pajot general manager. Previously, Pajot was general manager of the Charlotte (N.C.) Marriott SouthPark and director of operations at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott.
Futron Corp. of Bethesda promoted Peggy Slye to COO. Previously, Slye was director of its space and telecommunications division and also worked for Intelsat.

Discovery Communications of Silver Spring and Hasbro Inc. of Pawtucket, R.I., named Margaret Loesch president and CEO of their new multi-platform joint venture, working in Los Angeles. Previously, Loesch worked for Fox Kids Network, the U.S. Hallmark Channel, Marvel Productions, The Hatchery, Hanna-Barbera Productions and Jim Henson Group.
Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. of Columbia, S.C., promoted Michelle E. Hill of Rockville to district general agent for Montgomery County. Hill joined Colonial in September.
