Development around Shady Grove Metro

Developer Keystone Real Estate Investments will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at Loiederman Soltesz Associates Inc., at 2 Research Place, Suite 100 in Rockville to discuss development near the Shady Grove Metro station.

Keystone will soon file preliminary plan and site plan applications with the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission for the property located on the south side of Redland Road at Yellowstone Way, between the CSX railroad tracks and Crabbs Branch Way in Derwood. The plans will seek approval to build 156 residences, including three single-family detached homes, 36 single-family attached homes and a 117-unit multi-family, four-story building that will include 20 affordable housing units.

Plans will be presented at the Aug. 7 meeting.
