Meetings around town

The first Livable Communities Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 29 at County Administration Building, 1 4741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, Bowie, Upper Marlboro. The Expo will showcase the services and products that Prince George’s County Government offers to its citizens and residents. The Northern Prince George’s County Chapter of Mocha Moms, Inc. is holding a car wash from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5 in the Wal-Mart parking lot, 3330 Crain Highway, Bowie. Proceeds from the car wash will be used to purchase school supplies and backpacks for the homeless students who attend Prince George’s County Public Schools. There is ongoing registration through Sept. 8 for the Time Travel Challenge that will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 16 Teams of four will travel throughout Prince George’s County in a one-day contest, stopping at historic sites to face a series of unique, interactive history challenges. The Prince George’s Arts Council will conduct the second Community Artist Forum at noon July 29 at Greenbelt Library, 11 Crescent Road, Greenbelt.
