County police report

The following is a summary of recent incidents in the First (Rockville) and Fourth (Wheaton-Glenmont) districts to which the Montgomery County Police responded. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

First District

Assault⁄arrest

*On June 26 at 10 a.m., a man was videotaping a cashier without her permission inside the Giant Food store at 625 Hungerford Drive in Rockville. When confronted by an officer, the man allegedly pushed and kicked the officer and started to run. He was located in a post office. Carl Richard Stoll, 59, of the 300 block of Seth Place in Rockville, was charged with false statement to police and two counts of second-degree assault.

Aggravated assault

*On July 17 between 10 and 11:05 p.m., police responded to the 14600 block of Pinto Lane in Rockville for an assault. Two males reportedly attacked three males, 17-18, all from Bethesda, with weapons and damaged their property. One victim suffered a laceration and all were threatened with what appeared to be a rifle. The suspects are known to the victims.

Armed robberies

*On June 22 at 9:30 p.m., the 40-year-old male from Rockville was walking from the 7-Eleven store on the corner of Baltimore and Norbeck roads in Rockville when a man pointed a handgun at him and demanded cash as he approached the 1110 block of Veirs Mill Road. The victim complied and the robber ran south on Veirs Mill Road. He is described as black, 25, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 170 pounds, wearing brown slacks and a brown polo-style shirt.

*On June 11 at 10:30 p.m., a 64-year-old man from Rockville was walking on the access road of I-370 between Crabbs Branch Way and Shady Grove Road in Rockville when an unknown man ran from behind and pushed him, and took personal property from him. The robber implied he had a gun. He is described as black, 20’s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt.

*On June 6 at 5:11 p.m., a 43-year-old from Georgia was in his vehicle at the exit to the Red Roof Inn in Rockville when a man drove up, got out of his truck and pointed a gun at the victim. The robber demanded money and the victim complied. The victim drove after the robber to the Red Roof Inn at 16001 Shady Grove Road. Officers responded and found the 42-year-old male suspect, of an unknown address in Florida, but the victim declined to press charges, just asking that his money to be returned.

*On July 7 at 5:45 a.m., a 29-year-old man from Silver Spring was working at the Sunoco gas station at 10010 Darnestown Road in Rockville when a customer entered the store and engaged him in conversation. He then asked for cigarettes and when the employee got them, the man displayed a gun and demanded cash. The victim grabbed his cell phone to call for help. The robber then grabbed two or three pairs of sunglasses and ran away. Valiant Emilio Rodriquez, 23, of the unit block of Crownwood Court in Rockville, was charged with armed robbery.

*On June 16 at 1:30 a.m., a 41-year-old male from Rockville had parked his car in the 5500 block of Besley Court in Rockville when he was approached by two unknown men. One man pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. When the victim said he did not have any money, the robber took out a Taser and pointed it at the victim. The Taser struck him in his glasses and the victim ran away. The victim could not provide descriptions of the robbers.

*On July 11 at approximately 9:05 p.m., an armed man entered Manny and Olga’s at 12220 Rockville Pike in Rockville and announced a robbery. No one was hurt, but property was taken. The suspect is described as black, 30, 6 feet to 6 feet 5 inches tall, heavy build, wearing a black baseball cap and gray jacket.

Commercial burglaries

*Coakley Williams Construction site at 21 Church St., Rockville, between 4 p.m. July 3 and 6 a.m. July 5. Forced entry; property taken.

*Dogtopia at 4920 Wyaconda Road in Rockville, between 10:37 and 10:48 p.m. July 6. No forced entry; cash taken.

*Century Pool Management at 5020 Nicholson Court in Rockville, between 4:30 p.m. June 16 and 7:50 a.m. June 17. No forced entry; property taken.

Residential burglaries

*10400 block of Procera Drive in Rockville, between 1 a.m. July 2 and 9:30 a.m. July 3. No forced entry; property taken

*10700 block of Maplecrest Lane in Rockville, between 8:30 p.m. July 11 and 10:50 a.m. July 12. No forced entry; property taken.

*10900 block of Brent Road in Rockville, between 10:30 a.m. July 10 and 3:09 p.m. July 11. Forced entry; property taken.

*5800 block of Inman Park Circle in Rockville, between 4:45 p.m. June 16 and 11 a.m. June 17. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*16300 block of Hillcroft Drive in Rockville, between 7:30 p.m. June 12 and 7:15 a.m. June 13. No forced entry; no property taken.

*11900 block of Parklawn Place in Rockville, between 11:30 p.m. July 14 and 6:30 a.m. July 15. Forced entry; property taken.

Fourth District

Armed robberies

*On June 22 at 1:20 a.m., an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old male from Silver Spring where approached by four men who presented a black handgun and took cash and personal property. The robbers were seen leaving in a silver Chevy Impala near the exit of 3600 block of Pear Tree Court. There was no description of two of the men. One is described as black male, 18-19, wearing a black shirt. Another is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, 130 pounds, wearing a black shirt and black pants.

*On June 21 between 8:15 p.m. and 8:25 p.m., a 21-year-old male from Silver Spring was approached by two unknown men who displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. The robbers took cash. One is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 160-200 pounds, dreadlocks, wearing a black shirt, blue pants and a ’do rag. The second is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 160-200 pounds, shaved head, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Sexual assault

*On June 2 between 4 and 4:55 p.m., a 15-year-old male was arrested at the Ashton Swim Club near the 1300 block of Hornell Drive in Ashton for inappropriate sexual activity with a 6-year-old girl. The boy allegedly asked the victim to touch him under his swim trunks. The victim was hesitant but complied. Both the victim’s and suspect’s parents were made aware of the situation. The boy was charged as a minor with sexual assault.

Strong-arm robberies

*On June 28 between 8:05 and 8:25 p.m. near the 18100 block of Town Center Drive in Olney, a 15-year-old juvenile was attacked. An unknown man took personal property before fleeing. The robber is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160-170 pounds.

*June 25 at 9 p.m. a 47-year-old woman was at the Coin Laundry located at 2303 University Blvd. in Wheaton when three unknown men approached her and grabbed her purse. The first is described as black, 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 140-150 pounds, cornrows⁄braids. The second is described as black, 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 140-150 pounds, cornrows⁄braids, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The third is described as black, 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 140-150 pounds, cornrows⁄braids, wearing a black T-shirt and black pants.

*On June 22 around 10 p.m., a 33-year-old man from Wheaton was walking on the east sidewalk of Amherst Avenue in Wheaton when he was attacked by three men. Two of the men kicked the victim to the ground, taking his wallet and cash, while the third acted as a lookout. The first and second assailants are described as black, 17-19, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 165 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and black pants. The third is described as black, 12-19, 125 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and black pants.

Commercial burglaries

*Charles Drew Elementary School, 1200 Swingingdale Drive in Silver Spring, at 7:40 a.m. June 11. Forced entry; property vandalized.

*Wheaton North Office Building, 2730 University Blvd. in Wheaton, between 1 and 2:55 p.m. June 11. No forced entry; property taken.

*Hair Cuttery, 13609 Connecticut Ave. in Aspen Hill, between 9:06 p.m. June 4 and 8:30 a.m. June 5. No forced entry; property taken.

Residential burglaries

*2000 block of Westchester Drive in Silver Spring, between 12:30 and 12:35 a.m. June 5. Forced entry; property vandalized.

*18300 block of Leman Lake Drive in Olney, between 6:30 a.m. and 2:35 p.m. June 5. No forced entry; property taken.

*15000 block of Shamrock Ridge Road in Silver Spring, between 3:30 and 4 p.m. June 7. Forced entry; property taken.
