A Bethesda woman was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night, according to Montgomery County Police.

The 25-year-old woman was walking in the 5000 block of Brookdale Road in Bethesda around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday when she noticed an older looking white Crown Victoria parked on the street. As she walked past the car, a man got out, displayed a handgun and demanded the woman’s purse and various other items, police said.

A second man also got out of the car and took part in the robbery, police said.

Afterwards, the two men got back in the car and drove away.

The suspects are described as black males, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 2 inches tall. One of the suspects is described as having a thin build. The suspect’s car is described as a white Ford Crown Victoria, four-door model, with ‘‘Sheriff’s Office” decals that appear to have been removed or very badly faded on the left side of the trunk lid.

Anyone who has information about this incident and⁄or suspect is asked to call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 301-657-0112, or the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
