DEALS

Worldspace Inc. of Silver Spring signed a marketing agreement with Fiat Group Automobiles of Torino, Italy, under which Fiat will install and distribute in Italy Worldspace satellite radios. Worldspace expects to start broadcasting throughout Italy in late 2008.

PROPERTY

Washington Property Co. of Rockville purchased 1390 Piccard Drive, a three-story, 108,000-square-foot commercial office building in north Rockville. It joins three other nearby properties — 4 Research Place, 15201 Diamondback Drive and Washingtonian South — acquired by Washington Property in the last year. The sellers were Piccard Development LLC, EDB, Piccard LLC and Douglas F. Colson. Washington Property plans $2.6 million in renovations for the property, built in 1980 and renovated in 1995, with work scheduled for completion this year.
