The following is a sampling from news summaries submitted by the Montgomery County Police Department. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Silver Spring district

Armed robberies

*June 24: Two men, one with a knife, stabbed a victim in the arm while the victim was delivering newspapers. The robbers then took his property about 5 a.m. in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue.

*June 22: Two men, one armed with a shotgun, followed victims into a building, pushed them against a wall and took property 11:10 p.m. in the 8600 block of Piney Branch Road.

Strong-arm robberies

*June 19: Two men knocked down a male victim and took property 11:25 p.m. in the 8700 block of Barron Street.

*June 17: Two men knocked down a female victim and took her purse 7:50 p.m. at Sweetbriar Parkway and Gatewood Place.

*June 19: A man approached a female victim from behind and took her purse 11 p.m. at Stewart Lane and Lockwood Drive.

*June 17: Three males assaulted a male victim as he got off a bus 7:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Greencastle Road.

Sexual assault

*June 19: A man inappropriately touched a female victim 7:20 p.m. on a footpath near the 13000 block of Broadmore Road.

Arrests

*June 16: A 55-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested in connection with an incident in which a victim was stabbed in the neck with a box cutter. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to a police spokeswoman.

Vehicle larcenies

*Bradford Road, Caroline Avenue, Manchester Road, Flower Avenue and Schuyler Road, between June 21 and June 23. Forced and unforced entries; GPS systems, money, equipment, cell phones, computers and iPods taken.

A total of 26 vehicle larcenies were reported in the district between June 16 and June 25. 14 occurred in the G2 beat, which includes the Manchester Road and Flower Avenue area.

Commercial burglaries

*Weller Cleaners, 8237 Fenton St., between June 19 and June 20. No forced entry; unknown what was taken.

*LAD International College, 1400 Spring St., between June 16 and June 17. Forced entry; property taken.

Residential burglaries

*Clark Place, 2100 block, between June 19 and June 20. No forced entry; property taken.

*Lanark Way, 1000 block, between 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. June 23. Forced entry; property taken.

*Garland Avenue, 7800 block, 2:15 p.m. June 18. Unknown entry; unknown what was taken.

*Mt. Pisgah Road, 9700 block, between 5 p.m. June 17 and 9:50 p.m. June 18. No forced entry; property taken.

*Ellen Court, 12400 block, between 8:15 p.m. June 16 and 5:30 a.m. June 17. No forced entry; property taken.

Bethesda district

Strong-arm robberies

*June 16: A teen-age boy took a cell phone from a victim and fled 1 a.m. at East West Highway and Rosemary Hills Drive.

*June 19: Two men, one armed with a knife, took property from a victim 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of East West Highway. The man with the knife was white, about 23 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He had a tattoo on his arm. The other man was Hispanic, about 20 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall. He had a mustache and a pierced ear.

Aggravated assault

*June 16: Police reported a domestic-related assault 9:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Rosemary Hills Drive.

Residential burglaries

*Mark Court, 2200 block, between 8:25 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. June 17. No forced entry; property taken.

*Aspen Street, 3900 block, between 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. June 19. No forced entry; property taken.

Takoma Park

Assault

*June 28: Police reported a domestic assault 5:30 p.m. in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Vehicle thefts

*Kansas Lane, 6500 block, between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. June 27. 2000 Chrysler Town & Country van taken; recovered 8:10 p.m. by Metropolitan Police Department.

Arrests

*June 22: A man was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia about 2:10 p.m. in the 7300 block of Jackson Avenue.

*June 24: A man was charged with fourth-degree burglary, trespassing, failure to obey a lawful order and making a false statement to a law enforcement officer about 2 a.m. at the intersection of Sligo Mill Road and Sheridan Street.

*June 25: Two juvenile males were charged with theft, attempted auto theft, trespassing and child in need of supervision about 12:10 a.m. in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue.

*June 25: A man was charged with malicious destruction of property over $500, malicious destruction of property under $500 and disorderly conduct 1:25 a.m. in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue.

*June 27: A man was arrested about 8:25 a.m. in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue on an open warrant for simple assault.

*June 28: A woman was charged with traffic violations 10:12 a.m. in the 1300 block of University Boulevard.

*June 29: A man was charged with traffic violations 1:03 a.m. in the 1100 block of University Boulevard.

*June 29: A woman was charged with fourth-degree burglary 10:14 p.m. in the 200 block of Manor Circle.

Wheaton-Glenmont district

Aggravated assault⁄weapons violations

*June 21: A man displayed a handgun to a security guard 9:45 p.m. at the Aspen Hill Shopping Center, 13745 Connecticut Ave.

Someone displayed a handgun to a victim in front of the pool house in the Georgian Colonies complex at Tynewick and Dunsinane drives. Police did not provide a date for the incident.

Arrests

*June 22: A 17-year-old Washington, D.C., boy was arrested in connection with a burglary 3 a.m. in the 1100 block of University Boulevard.

*June 20: A 23-year-old Wheaton man was arrested in connection with an assault about 10 p.m. at Puente de Oro Restaurant, 11123 Veirs Mill Road.

Vehicle thefts

Five vehicles were taken on different days between June 16 and June 24 within a few blocks of each other in the 12000 blocks of Dalewood Drive and Valleywood Drive, the 3000 block of Henderson Avenue and the 3400 block of Embry Street. One was recovered by the owner on Lindell Street.

Twelve vehicles were taken in the district between June 16 and June 24.

*Estelle Road, 13000 block, between 6:30 p.m. June 17 and 8:30 a.m. June 18. Forced entry; money, clothing taken.

*Frankfort Drive, 4300 block, between 8:30 p.m. June 19 and 7 a.m. June 20. Forced entry; GPS system, camera and equipment taken.

*Randolph Road, 2800 block, between 10 p.m. June 20 and 8:10 a.m. June 21. Forced entry; purse and wallet taken.

*Robindale Drive, 12700 block, between 8 p.m. June 22 and 6:20 a.m. June 23. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*Downer Drive, 12300 block, between 10 p.m. June 21 and 4 p.m. June 22; Forced entry; lawn care equipment taken.

Commercial burglaries

*Olney Ale House, 2000 Olney Sandy Spring Road, 10:55 p.m. June 16. Attempted forced entry.

*Sun’s Garden and Landscaping, 1025 Ashton Road, between June 16 and June 17. Forced entry; property taken.

*Sandy Spring Store, 905 Olney Sandy Spring Road, 12:51 a.m. June 19. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*Uncle Dave’s American Grill, 5500 Olney Laytonsville Road, 2:05 a.m. June 22. Attempted forced entry.

*Denhigh Circle, 18500 block, 1 a.m. June 18. No forced entry; property taken. Three people ran out of the garage and entered a small black two-door car.

*Connecticut Avenue, 12400 block, between June 21 and June 22. Forced entry; property taken.

Rockville district

Arrests

*June 17: Three juveniles from Rockville were arrested in connection with a burglary between 8:30 a.m. and 11:40 p.m. in the 12600 block of Veirs Mill Road.

*June 21: A 49-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested in connection with a theft from vehicle 7:10 p.m. in the 4500 block of Randolph Road.

Residential burglary

*Brentford Drive, 5200 block, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. June 24. Forced entry; property taken.
