City Police Report

The following is a summary of incidents to which Rockville City Police responded during the past few weeks. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Prostitution Arrests

*June 17, between 10:05 and 10:45 p.m., Farhad Alyiav, 21, of Staten Island, N.Y., and Alen Mammazodov, 21, of Rockville, were arrested for alleged prostitution following a complaint in the 16000 block of Shady Grove Road. In addition, Mammazodov was also charged with possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (barbiturates) and prescription fraud. Both men were transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

Theft Arrests

*June 21-22, two 15-year-old female juveniles, one 14-year-old female juvenile and a 12-year-old female juvenile, all of Rockville, were arrested for alleged unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and alleged theft following a complaint in the 500 block of Calvin Lane. The juveniles were transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released to the custody of their parents.

DUI Arrests

*June 17, 7:56 p.m., John Francis Brosnan Jr., 51, of Rockville was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and allegedly drinking in public following a complaint in the 2000 block of Veirs Mill Road.


*Between June 13 and 16, 1500 block of Rockville Pike, unknown suspect(s) removed money and checks from a safe at a retail store.

*Between June 14 and 16, 200 block of Congressional Lane, unknown suspect(s) removed two bucket seats and a pair of sunglasses from a vehicle.

*Between June 15 and 16, 300 block of Elmcroft Boulevard, unknown suspect(s) removed 20 CDs from a vehicle.

*June 17, between 9 and 9:10 a.m., 2200 block of Veirs Mill Road, unknown suspect(s) removed box of hair care product and dental products from a retail store.

*June 19, between 11 and 11:20 a.m., 700 block of Hungerford Drive, unknown susepct9s) removed a cell phone from a business.


*Between June 12 and 16, 300 block of North Stonestreet Avenue, commercial, unknown suspect(s) gained access by breaking through the lock on a front door of a business and removed a shop vacuum, a cool tech refrigerant recovery, and a toolbox containing assorted tools.
