Cynthia Curry

Cynthia Anita Brown Curry, 69, of Davie, Fla., formerly of Olney, died July 3, 2008, after a period of declining health.

Born Jan. 1, 1939, in Bethesda, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Vivian Snyder.

Ms. Curry drove a taxi in the Washington, D.C., area, and drove a school bus for Montgomery County for many years.

Survivors include seven children, Charlene Hawes and husband, Roger of Smithsburg, Cheryl Waxman and husband, James of Poolesville, Randy Brown of Frederick, Richard Brown of Silver Spring, Robert Brown of Jessup, Brenda LePage of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Wakeel Curry of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Wallace Snyder and wife, Blanca of Belle, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Smoot, a sister, Adeline Rine, a son, Mu’Min Curry, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Friends may gather from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 North in Frederick. Burial will be private.
