Hot line help sought

The Mental Health Association is recruiting volunteers for a 24-hour hot line providing supportive listening, suicide prevention and crisis intervention.

Shifts are available around the clock. Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of four hours per week for at least a year after completing their training.

Counselors help callers dealing with personal relationships, family stress, depression or other mental illness. Information and referrals are also provided.
