Beauty plowed under for ICC

One hundred yards from my doorstep the construction of the Intercounty Connector is in progress.

I did not get a chance to voice my concern over this controversial issue and now the systematic deforestation has begun.

Now it may seem insignificant because the woodlands in question are relatively small, but aside from being home to many animals it was part of my home, too.

I spent much of my time while living in Montgomery County in the forest that is now a pile of dirt and clay. It served as a place of sanctuary as well as a living memorial of the natural beauty of this county and indeed the state of Maryland.

I hope in the future developers will consider the wants of the citizens as well as the money they stand to make.
