Police Report

The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County Police and⁄or Gaithersburg Police responded recently. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Aggravated assault

*On June 22, in a hallway of a building in the 100 block of Duvall Lane in Gaithersburg. Two men were arguing when a male friend of one of the men stepped in between. The suspect displayed a knife and swung it. No one was injured. The 29-year-old male suspect from Gaithersburg was arrested at the scene.

*On June 21, in the 17700 block of Amity Drive in Gaithersburg. During an argument between male roommates, one attacked the other with a machete, causing minor injuries, and fled. The 29-year-old male suspect from Gaithersburg was arrested.

Armed robbery

*On June 20 at approximately 1:15 a.m., on Montgomery Village Avenue near Lakeforest Avenue in Montgomery Village. The victim was approached by three men, one armed with a bottle, who attacked him and stole his wallet. The suspect vehicle was described as a red, 2006 Ford van with West Virginia tags.

Robbery

*On June 22 at 2:55 a.m., in the 400 block of East Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg. Victim stated he stopped to give a male stranger a ride and was directed to the alley behind Gaithersburg Elementary School. A second male suspect was there and both attacked the victim, forcing him from his vehicle after taking his wallet. They drove off in the victim’s vehicle, which was found nearby.

*On June 22 at 10:20 p.m., at East Diamond and North Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg. The victim was approached by one, perhaps two, males who asked him for money. When the victim refused, the suspect stabbed him in the hand.

Theft

*On the night of June 19 a theft from a hotel room was reported at the Hilton located at 620 Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg. No forced entry, property taken.

Commercial burglary

*Rose’s Nails, 18542 Woodfield Road in Gaithersburg, at 11:55 p.m. on June 19 .Forced entry, property taken.
