The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.

Aggravated assault

- On June 20 at 8:45 p.m., in the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road in Germantown. The male suspect approached the victim and hit him in the head. Investigation is ongoing.

- On June 20 at 2:30 a.m., in the 13200 block of Chalet Place in Germantown. The victim and defendant were arguing when the defendant stabbed the victim in the calf. The suspect was arrested.

Residential burglary

- 20400 block of Apple Harvest Circle in Germantown between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 19. Suspects forced entry and removed property.

- 26000 block of Long Corner Road in Damascus between 4 p.m. June 15 and 4:30 p.m. June 23. No sign of forced entry but property was removed.

- 19500 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown between 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. June 15. Suspects forced entry, property taken.

Vehicle larceny

- 11500 block of Scottsbury Terrace in Germantown, overnight between June 22 and June 23. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed cash.

- 20900 block of Scottsbury Drive in Germantown, overnight between June 22 and June 23. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed coins.

- 11600 block of Queen Nicole Terrace in Germantown overnight between June 22 and June 23. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a GPS unit.

- 13600 block of Witherspoon Lane in Germantown, between 5 p.m. June 17 and 7:30 a.m. June 18. Suspects broke window but no property was taken.

- 12400 block of Hickory Tree Way in Germantown, overnight between June 20 and June 21. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed stereo equipment.

- 12400 block of Hickory Tree Way in Germantown, overnight between June 20 and June 21. Suspects broke the window and removed a GPS unit.

- 12200 block of Eagle Nest Court in Germantown, overnight between 11:30 p.m. June 20 and 9:30 a.m. June 21. Suspects broke the window and removed an iPod.

- 12400 block of Hickory Tree Way in Germantown, overnight between June 20 and June 21. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed GPS unit.

- 19900 block of Highstream Drive in Germantown, overnight between 9 p.m. June 16 and 8 a.m. June 17. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle but nothing was taken.

- 18900 block of Highstream Drive in Germantown, between 10 p.m. June 19 and 6 a.m. June 20. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed coins.

- 18900 block of Crosstie Terrace in Germantown, between 6 p.m. June 19 and 7 a.m. June 20. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle but removed nothing.

- 14200 block of Kings Crossing Boulevard in Boyds, between 1:01 a.m. June 19 and 5:15 p.m. June 20. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle but removed nothing.

- 19000 block of Bronco Drive in Germantown, between 9:15 p.m. and 10 p.m. June 20. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed tools.

Vehicle theft

- 13100 block of Rosebay Drive in Germantown, between 8:30 p.m. June 15 and 10:15 p.m. June 16. Suspects tried to steal a 2005 Dodge Caravan by tampering with the ignition.

- 13000 block of Shadyside Lane in Germantown, between 8 p.m. June 15 and 9:15 a.m. June 16. A 2007 RSV motorcycle was stolen.

- 20600 block of Shadyside Lane in Germantown, between 8 p.m. June 15 and 9:30 a.m. June 16. A 2005 Honda F4i Motorcycle was stolen.

- Kinster Drive and Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown, between midnight and 12:30 a.m. June 16. Suspects tried to steal a 2008 Ford Truck by tampering with the ignition.

- 13400 block of Walnutwood Lane in Germantown, overnight between 9:30 p.m. June 18 and 9:30 a.m. June 19. A 1997 Honda Accord was stolen.
