The following is a summary of incidents in the 1st (Rockville) and 4th (Wheaton-Glenmont) districts to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
1st District
Aggravated assault
-On June 20 at 5:08 p.m. at the Dunkin Donuts at Veirs Mill and Randolph roads in Wheaton. A man attempted to help a woman who was being harassed by another male. The suspect displayed a box-cutter knife and swung it at the male victim. He was arrested on the scene.
-On June 15 between 1:39 and 3:35 p.m. in the 10000 block of Oaklyn Drive in Potomac. Incident was domestic.
Residential burglary
-500 block of Bickford Avenue in Rockville, between 1:15 and 2:20 p.m. June 15. Suspects forced entry and removed property.
-4600 block of Stoneleigh Court in Rockville, between 7:30 and 11:10 a.m. June 18. Forced entry; property recovered at scene.
-4400 block of Randolph Road in Rockville, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. June 18. Suspects forced entry and removed property.
-9000 block of Paddock Lane in Potomac, between 3 p.m. June 20 and 10 p.m. June 21. Domestic incident.
Commercial burglary
-Twinbrook Pool, 13027 Atlantic Avenue in Rockville, between 10:45 p.m. June 22 and 9:30 a.m. June 23. Forced entry; property was removed.
-K12 Services, 11 N. Washington Street in Rockville, at 5:58 p.m. June 18. An employee observed the burglar remove property and flee. The burglar is described as a black male, 20-25, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, corn-rowed hair, wearing a light blue polo shirt and black pants, carrying a black backpack.
-Mill Creek Swim Center, 7285 Mill Run Drive in Derwood, between 7 p.m. June 17 and 8 a.m. June 18. Forced entry; property taken.
Vehicle larceny
-La Brasa Restaurant, 12401 Parklawn Drive, between 12:40 and 12:58 a.m. June 20. Suspects fled after being observed by a passing citizen.
-5600 block of Lake Christopher Drive in Rockville, overnight between 9:30 a.m. June 16 and 6:56 a.m. June 17. Vehicle left unlocked and coins taken.
-5700 block of Lake Christopher Drive in Rockville, overnight between 9 p.m. June 16 and 6:45 a.m. June 17. Vehicle left unlocked; purse/wallet were taken.
-14700 block of Waterway Drive in Rockville, overnight between 7 p.m. June 17 and 6 a.m. June 18. Vehicle doors were unlocked; coins, a package of light bulb, and a vehicle jack were taken.
-300 block of Farragut Avenue in Rockville, 10:27 p.m. June 22. No sign of forced entry; wallet was taken.
-King Farm area of Rockville, 14 thefts from vehicles occurred overnight between June 18 and 19. Doors left unlocked in some, windows broken in others; small items such as cash, GPS, wallets taken.
-8900 block of Harvest Square Court in Potomac, June 21. Entered unlocked vehicle and removed a purse and cell phone.
4th District
Peeping Tom
-On June 15 at 6:10 a.m., 14200 block of Grand Pre Road in Silver Spring. A possible suspect was stopped in the area but the victim could not identify him.
Indecent exposure
-On June 16 at 4 p.m., Robindale Drive and Adrian Street in Aspen Hill. A male followed a 17-year-old female off a bus and exposed himself to her. The suspect is described as Hispanic, 30-35, 140-150 pounds, short hair, wearing a multi-colored shirt and sandals.
Strong-arm robbery
-On June 15 at 12:45 p.m. in the 11500 block of Lockhart Place in Silver Spring. A juvenile male victim was walking home from school when two males asked to see his MP3 player. When the victim took it out of his pocket, the two wrestled him to the ground and took the player.
Armed robbery
-On June 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the Cash Express at 11337 Georgia Avenue in Wheaton. A man struck/assaulted the female victim who escaped with cash. He was apprehended later the same day in Washington, D.C.
Carjacking
-On June 20 at 4:37 a.m. in the 10700 block of Lester Street in Silver Spring. The male victim was loading the trunk of his car when three males approached. One of them displayed a weapon, demanding the victim's keys and money. The victim complied and the men fled in his vehicle.
Sexual assault
-On June 15 at 7:15 a.m. in the 3600 block of McMahon Road in Aspen Hill. A woman was on foot when a man ran behind her and touched her inappropriately. The victim screamed and the man ran towards the residences on Bucknell Drive.
Commercial burglary
-Cash Depot at 24 Vital Way, between 8:30 p.m. June 18 and 5:30 a.m. June 19. Forced entry; nothing taken.
-Bank of America, 13311 New Hampshire Avenue, overnight between June 19 and 20. Forced entry; nothing taken.
-Aspen Nail & Spa, 9 Olney-Sandy Spring Road in Olney, between 8 p.m. June 15 and 10:54 a.m. June 16. Forced entry; property taken.
Residential burglary
-2000 block of Ballows Way in Silver Spring, between 11:30 and 2:05 p.m. June 19. No forced entry; property taken.
-4300 block of Morningwood Court in Olney, between 6 and 6:30 p.m. June 15. No forced entry; property taken.
-1900 block of Merrifields Drive in Silver Spring, between 11 p.m. June 19 and 12:45 a.m. June 20. No entry gained; nothing taken.
-12100 block of Dalewood Drive in Wheaton, between 1 and 1:45 a.m. June 15. Unknown entry; property taken.
-11900 block of Centerhill Street in Silver Spring, at 1 a.m. June 16. The victim returned home and saw a vehicle leaving the front of his residence. The suspect vehicles are described as a white Chrysler SUV and black Cadillac sedan.
-12100 block of Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, between 5 and 9:30 p.m. June 20. Forced entry; property taken.
-2800 block of McComas Avenue in Kensington, between 12:02 and 7 a.m. June 18. The suspect entered the house while the victim was sleeping and took property.
-11300 block of College View Drive in Silver Spring, between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 19. No forced entry; property taken.
