The Montgomery County Republican Central Committee elected three new members last week, and each came from one of the GOP's affiliated clubs.
Derrick LaRosa of Bethesda serves as the executive vice president of the Montgomery County Young Republicans and as the Young Republican National Committeeman, representing Maryland.
Denise Siegel of Gaithersburg was second vice president of the Upper Montgomery Republican Women's Club.
Michael "Moshe" Starkman of Aspen Hill is the newly elected president of Maryland Young Republicans and before that he was the president of the Montgomery County Young Republicans.
"These are people who have been part of the party apparatus, and their inclusion in the central committee formalizes their existing involvement," said Mark Uncapher, chairman of the county's Central Committee.
Each of the three replaces other members who had resigned before their terms were up in 2010.
The committee has 19 members, two from each of the eight legislative districts and three at large.
Siegel, who is a corporate accounting manager at Coventry Health Care, serves as a representative from legislative District 39, which encompasses parts of Montgomery Village, Germantown and Gaithersburg.
Starkman, who owns Web consulting business Moshe Technologies LLC, serves as a representative from legislative District 19, which includes Wheaton, Aspen Hill and Derwood.
LaRosa, an entrepreneur who has started his second company, a real estate investment firm, has an at-large seat.
"If the MCGOP can articulate a sound plan of fiscal responsibility and economic prosperity for our county, then we will begin to become a more potent force in the 2010 elections," Starkman said in an e-mail.
