Community kindness
|
It is challenging to put into words just how appreciative we are to all of you (our friends and family) who came out for Al's benefit at Sullivan's Steak [and Beverage Co.] on April 26 ["Benefit held to help Laurel resident with medical bills," April 30]. We know that we are in your hearts and prayers as Al continues to lose his bodily rights to this dreadful disease, now consuming his arms and hands.
With the state of our country's economic situation, we really want you to know how thankful we are for all of your donations, which will be put to good use.
We are very grateful for everyone who worked behind the scenes — your awesome energy and hard work made the benefit a huge success. Additionally, we are indebted to Terri and Johnny (Sullivan's owners) for their hard work in getting volunteers, sponsors and donations, not to forget their premises and the great food for our benefit.
All of you are in our hearts and prayers. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Cathy and Al Herman, Laurel
