Hood College's 25th annual Summer Chamber Music Festival will kick off at 8 p.m. tonight with the Appalachian Quintet at Hood College's Hodson Auditorium, Rosenstock Hall, 401 Rosemont Ave., Frederick.
The free concert will feature well-known masterworks from the wind quintet repertoire plus several seldom-heard selections. Pianist Noel Lester, professor of music and concert manager, will join the group for Albert Roussel's "Divertissement" and Gordon Jacob's "Sextet."
