The following is a summary of incidents in Bethesda to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Armed robbery
-On June 12: At approximately 7:50 p.m. in the 7600 block of Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. Suspects produced a handgun and forcibly removed property from two victims. Investigation led to the arrest of two suspects.
Theft, pickpocket
-On June 11: At approximately 3 p.m. in the parking lot of 5110 Nicholson Lane in North Bethesda. Two suspects approached the elderly female victim in the parking lot and offered to help her load groceries into her vehicle. The victim later discovered her wallet had been taken from her purse. Suspect No. 1 was described as a Hispanic male, 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150-170 pounds. Suspect No. 2 was described as a Hispanic male, 20s, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall. One suspect had his arm in a sling.
School burglary
-French International School, 9600 Forest Road in Bethesda, between June 12 and June 15. Forced entry, property taken.
Vehicle larceny
-4000 block of Adams Court in Kensington, overnight between June 9 and June 10. Pried door, GPS, various hand tools taken.
-Detrick Avenue in Kensington, overnight between June 11 and June 12. Broke window, laptop, GPS taken.
Residential burglary
-2600 block of East West Highway in Bethesda, between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on June 13. Forced entry, nothing reported missing.
-4600 block of North Park Avenue in Friendship Heights, on June 8. Victim returned home and found forced entry, property destroyed.
-5300 block of Augusta Street in Bethesda, between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on June 11. No forced entry, property reported missing.
-4800 block of Western Avenue in Bethesda, overnight between June 13 and June 14. No forced entry, property taken.
-5200 block of Andover Road in Bethesda, overnight between June 14 and June 15. No forced entry to garage, property taken.
-7800 block of Marion Lane in Bethesda, between 1:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on June 9. No forced entry to garage, property taken.
-5400 block of Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda, between 8:50 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on June 15. Forced entry, property taken.
