The state’s top high school football prospect once again resides in Prince George’s County. Friendly rising senior quarterback Joe Haden is rated 81st by national recruiting Web site Rivals.com.

Haden, a first-team Star⁄Gazette selection last fall, has narrowed his college choices to Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Tennessee. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Haden called ‘‘arguably the most athletic player in the country” by Rivals, is ranked 35th in the East Region by Scout.com.

As a junior last fall, Haden completed 101 of 163 passes for 1,910 yards. He had a county-high 22 touchdown passes and just five interceptions.

Forestville tight end⁄linebacker Devonte Campbell is 37th.

DeMatha linebacker Ian Thomas is 60th and Friendly wide receiver Vincent Hill is 80th. Hill, a first-team Star⁄Gazette pick in 2005, recently gave a verbal commitment to Akron. He finished the 2005 season with 41 catches for 886 yards and 11 touchdowns.
