Montgomery County Police report that Jose Fredy Diaz Cedillo, 29, of the 3300 block of Damascus Road lost control of his red 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera around 2:12 a.m. Sunday as he traveled north on Georgia Avenue near the intersection with Gregg Road. The car left the road and struck a tree, according to police.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, police spokesman Corp. Stephen Gallozo said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, he said. Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 301-840-2435.
