Meetings begin at 8 p.m. If Monday is a holiday, council meets Tuesday. Council work sessions are held the second and fourth Mondays of every month.The council also has an extended summer and Christmas break and a modified schedule during budget season. Call City Clerk Pam Fleming at 301-809-3029 for information about specific dates. The mayor and two at-large council members are elected citywide, while the four remaining council members are elected by their respective districts.
