The following is a sampling from news summaries submitted by the Montgomery County Police Department. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Wheaton-Glenmont district

Armed robberies

*May 20: Three men, one armed with an unknown weapon, ran up to a man, forced him to the ground, punched and kicked him and took his property 5:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of Ashmont Terrace.

Arrests

*May 25: A man of no fixed address was arrested for indecent exposure 11:45 a.m. in the rear of Lotte Plaza, 13625 Georgia Ave.

*May 26: Police arrested four male juveniles and one man, all from Prince George’s County, who attempted to rob a man waiting for a bus about 10:15 p.m. at the Wheaton Metro station.

Vehicle thefts

Nine vehicle thefts were reported in the district between May 20 and May 28.

Vehicle larcenies

At least 20 vehicles were broken into at the Wheaton Metro garage and Amherst Avenue garage in the afternoon hours of May 20. Several suspects have been identified and arrests are pending.

Fifty-two incidents of vehicle larcenies were reported in the district between May 20 and May 28.

Commercial burglaries

*Ledo Pizza, 13444 New Hampshire Ave., between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. May 22. Forced entry; property taken.

*Datos Dental Lab, 3401 Olandwood Court, between May 21 and May 22. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*Church of Christ at Manor Woods, 5300 Norbeck Road, between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. May 23. No forced entry; nothing taken.

*Children’s Learning Center, 4511 Bestor Drive, between May 20 and May 21. No forced entry; nothing taken.

*Kosher Pastry Oven, 1372 Lamberton Drive, between 3:30 p.m. May 23 and 6:45 a.m. May 25. Forced entry; property taken.

*Weichert Realtors, 11308 Grandview Ave. between May 22 and May 23. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

Residential burglaries

*Notley Road, 14000 block, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. May 22. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*Notley Road, 1000 block, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 20. No forced entry; property taken.

*Copley Lane, 900 block, between May 16 and May 26. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*Marine Drive, no address listed, between 9:05 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. May 16. Forced entry; property taken.

*Northwyn Drive, 14300 block, between 11 a.m. and noon May 16. No forced entry; nothing taken.

*Olney Mill Road, 18700 block, between May 23 and May 24. No forced entry; property taken.

*North Gate Drive, 13700 block, 5:10 p.m. May 24. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

*Pear Tree Lane, 14200 block, between 12:01 a.m. and 9:07 a.m. May 23. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

*Pear Tree Court, 3600 block, between 11 p.m. May 25 and 5:45 a.m. May 26. No forced entry; property taken. The burglar took keys from the house and fled in a 2000 black Acura RL parked outside.

*Grandview Avenue, 11500 block, between May 17 and May 22. Forced entry to shed; property taken.

*Somersworth Drive, 12200 block, between 7:50 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. May 22. Forced entry; property taken.

Rockville district

Arrests

*May 24: Police arrested a man who allegedly approached a victim at a traffic light 6:50 p.m. and demanded the victim’s car keys.

Vehicle larcenies

*Parklawn Terrace, 5100 block, between 8 p.m. May 20 and 10 a.m. May 21. Two front seats taken from 2004 Honda Civic.

Indecent exposure

*May 25: A man exposed himself to a victim about 8:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of Ferrara Drive.

Silver Spring district

Armed robberies

*May 24: A man with a gun who is an acquaintance of a male victim took cash from him 10:15 a.m. in the 8000 block of 13th Street.

Strong-arm robberies

*May 26: Four men attacked and beat up two victims and took property while the victims were walking in the 8500 block of Carroll Avenue just before 4 a.m.

*May 26: Two men beat up a male victim who had just walked past them as they were sitting on steps in the 1000 block of Quebec Terrace. They took property.

*May 26: An off-duty officer working security in the 13900 block of Castle Boulevard was attacked, beaten and had a cell phone taken when she tried to remove some disorderly people from the property. Police said charges are pending against the suspects.

Carjacking

*May 26: A man jumped into a vehicle left running at the 7-Eleven, 650 University Blvd. East, about 3 a.m. The male victim tried to stop the man and was dragged a short distance by the car.

Arrests

*May 22: A man with no fixed address was arrested in connection with a burglary of a shed 2:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of Garland Avenue.

*May 23: Two men were arrested in connection with a residential burglary 10 p.m. in the 2700 block of Fairdale Terrace. One of the suspects is known to the victim; the other is from Hyattsville.

*May 24: Two people were arrested in connection with the theft of a 2002 Plymouth Voyager May 24 in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard.

Vehicle thefts

*Newell Street, 8000 block, May 21. 2001 Isuzu Rodeo taken.

*September Lane, 9100 block, May 22. 1999 Dodge Caravan taken.

*Piney Branch Road, 9000 block, between May 23 and May 24. 2003 Acura RSX taken.

*Garland and Maplewood avenues, May 26. 2002 Jaguar XTY taken.

*Sir Thomas Way, 13600 block, between May 22 and May 26. 1994 Nissan Altima taken.

Twenty-nine vehicle larcenies were reported in the district between May 20 and May 28.
