Rockville man charged after stabbing near Lakeforest mallAn 18-year-old Rockville man was stabbed in the abdomen after his request for a cigarette escalated into a verbal dispute with a teenager behind Lakeforest mall Sunday night, Gaithersburg police said Tuesday. Antonio Joseph Wilson, 17, of Gaithersburg, was arrested and charged as an adult with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, said police spokesman Sgt. Rudy Wagner. He is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center in Rockville, and had a bond hearing scheduled for Tuesday evening, a jail spokeswoman said. His preliminary bond was $30,000, she said. Police arrived at the 9000 block of Lost Knife Road at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a call about a stabbing, said police spokeswoman Elena Ingram. They found the victim with a group of friends, and discovered he was stabbed with a pocketknife in the upper abdomen, Ingram said. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Ingram said. His condition was unavailable Tuesday. Police located the suspect and arrested him without incident about five minutes later at the intersection of Contour and Horizon Run roads, Ingram said.
