Police reports

The following is a summary of recent incidents in the First (Rockville) and Fourth (Wheaton-Glenmont) districts to which the Montgomery County Police responded. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

First District

Aggravated assault

*On April 22 at 4 p.m., on Mannakee Street in Rockville. During a dispute, a man displayed a knife and threatened the victim. The two people are known to each other.

Burglary

*Between 2 p.m. April 27 and 9:45 a.m. April 28, at Crusader Lutheran Church, 1605 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. Forced entry; property taken.

Strong-arm robbery

*On April 29 at 10:12 p.m., at Ardennes and Aleutian avenues in Rockville. The victim was walking home from Twinbrook Shopping Center when he was approached by four males who took his backpack. The victim ran home to call police and suspects were arrested nearby. All live in the county.

Vehicle larceny

*12300 block of Wilkins Avenue in Rockville, between April 25 and 28. Forced entry to three vehicles; nothing reported missing.

*15900 block Indianola Drive in Rockville, between 4 p.m. April 26 at and 11 a.m. April 28. Equipment taken; no forced entry to a 1997 Nissan pickup truck.

*700 block of Grandin Avenue in Rockville, at 9:10 p.m. April 22. A witness found two people breaking into his vehicle in the driveway. They fled before police arrived.

*Shady Grove Metro parking lot in Rockville, between 7:15 and 3 a.m. April 29. Catalytic converter taken from a 1998 Toyota 4Runner.

Commercial burglary

*Fisher Bioservices Inc., 1055 First St. in Rockville, between 2:07 and 2:47 a.m. April 23. Forced entry; equipment taken.

*DHL facility, 30 Southlawn Court in Rockville, on April 28. Forced entry; property taken.

*Pete’s Grill, 519 East Gude Drive in Rockville, between 5 p.m. April 24 and 6:30 a.m. April 25. Forced entry; property taken.

*Metro Run and Walk, 1776 East Jefferson St. in Rockville, at 4:28 a.m. April 30. Discovered by officers responding to an alarm. No further information available.

Fourth District

Armed street robbery

*On April 24 at 9:35 p.m., at Layhill Road and Greenery Lane in Silver Spring. A juvenile male was on foot when he was approached from behind by a male who cut him with a piece of glass. Property taken.

Attempted robbery

*On April 28 at 8:15 p.m., in the 3200 block of Whispering Pines Drive in Silver Spring, Three male teenagers approached an adult deliveryman and attempted to take a pizza from him.

Carjacking

*On April 27 at 10:25 p.m., in the 3400 block of Hewitt Avenue in Aspen Hill. A man approached another man and pointed guns at him, then stole the victim’s SUV. The stolen car was followed by a small black vehicle. The SUV was recovered on Montana Avenue in Northeast Washington, D.C. A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old from Prince George’s County were arrested.

Strong-arm robbery

*On April 23 at 7:46 p.m., in the 3200 block of Hewitt Avenue in Aspen Hill. Domestic-related.

*On April 25 at 4:20 p.m., on Normandy Square Court in Silver Spring. A juvenile male got off a Ride On Bus when four male teenagers followed him, accosted him and stole his property.

*On April 24 at 9:45 p.m., in the 13400 block of Lydia Street in Aspen Hill. Several adult victims were on foot when they were surrounded by six male and female juveniles, 10- to 18-years old. One of the assailants struck one of the victims with a branch and another grabbed one victim’s purse. The assailants fled in an easterly direction.

*On April 22 at 8:34 p.m., outside La Antigua Restaurant. A man approached another man and asked him for a cigarette. The assailant punched the victim in the face, kicked him, and went through his pockets. A 23-year-old male from Burtonsville was arrested.

Vehicle larceny

*2100 block of Greenery Lane in Wheaton, between 2 to 6:45 a.m. April 23. Forced entry to three vehicles; equipment and property taken.

*Apartment parking lots off Bel Pre Road in Aspen Hill, overnight between April 22 and 30. Nine vehicles targeted; equipment, loose property taken.

Commercial burglary

*Norbeck Beer & Wine in Rock Creek Shopping Center, 5526 Norbeck Road, Rockville, on April 24 at 2:54 a.m.. Forced entry; property was taken.

*Pegaso Restaurant in Rock Creek Shopping Center, 5532 Norbeck Road, Rockville, on April 24 at 2:54 a.m. Attempted forced entry.

Residential burglary

*15200 block of Peach Orchard Road in Silver Spring, between 8 p.m. April 24 and 6:30 p.m. April 25. Entry through unlocked garage; property taken.

*1700 block of Gamewell Road in Silver Spring, between 5 p.m. April 26 and 6 p.m. April 29. Property taken from unlocked shed.

*14200 block of Georgia Avenue in Aspen Hill, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 24. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*4100 block of Postgate Terrace in Aspen Hill, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. April 24. Nothing taken.

*2100 block of Georgian Woods Place in Wheaton, between 2 p.m. April 24 and 11 a.m. April 28. Forced entry; property was taken.

*2000 block of McMahon Road in Silver Spring, at 3:52 a.m. April 25. The adult female victim saw the suspect, called police and a 23-year-old man was arrested.

*1800 block of Reedie Drive in Wheaton, overnight between April 24 and 25. Forced entry. The victim’s SUV is also missing.

*2700 block of University Boulevard in Wheaton, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., April 25. Unknown entry; property taken.
