Leaders can learn from history

I commend Chuck Lyons on his commentary on David McCullough’s biography of John Adams (‘‘In the middle of the night, history comes to life,” April 30). It was a sensitive and moving piece.

We have so much to learn from our Founding Fathers and Mothers, both on a political and personal level; I wish that our current leaders would emulate them more.
