Horse park over crime-fighters?

While the county is crying poverty in order to justify raising taxes at a rate of three times inflation once again, they turn around and spend $3.8 million on an equestrian park that few of the citizens of the county will use.

The question must be asked how many other of these gold-plated items are in the budget and who is watching the store? Why are they building an equestrian park while ignoring one of the county’s primary functions of protecting its citizens from crime? One only needs to look at the crime reports to see they are failing us.

Our county government has become a self-serving organization that looks upon the taxpayers as serfs. When are the serfs going to wake up before it is to late and put a stop to this madness?
