Police Report

The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County Police and⁄or Gaithersburg Police responded recently. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Armed robbery

*On April 22 just after 10 p.m., on Federal Court in Gaithersburg. The victim was approached at gunpoint by two suspects wearing ski masks. One suspect struck the victim with his weapon several times before taking his wallet and cash. Both suspects fled toward Girard Street. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 18, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, white sweatshirt, black pants, handgun. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 14, about 5 feet 5 inches, possibly all black clothing.

Rape

*On April 24, in the 9600 block of Horizon Run Road in Montgomery Village. The victim was attending a party at the residence. A female resident fell asleep. The defendant, a neighbor, entered the home after the party and sexually assaulted her. The suspect was arrested nearby.

Vehicle larceny

*Rio Sport & Fitness, 9811 Washingtonian Blvd., Gaithersburg, at approximately 1:30 p.m. on April 25. A female suspect stole keys from a locker. The suspect found the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse. The victim realized her keys were missing and saw the suspect in her car. The suspect fled in a car driven by a male after dropping the purse. Suspect No. 1 was described as a white female, 20-24, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 3 inches tall, 150-160 pounds, long black hair. Suspect No. 2, the driver, was described only as male. The suspect vehicle was described as a silver 2005 Honda with Virginia tags.

*18100 block of Tunstall Drive in Montgomery Village, at approximately 8:40 p.m. on April 22. Four teenagers were seen attempting to break into a vehicle. The owner chased them to the area of Lost Knife Circle. The police were notified and two of the suspects were located nearby. One juvenile was arrested.

*300 block of East Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg, overnight between April 26 and April 27. Forced entry, property taken.

*8200 block of Streamside Place in Gaithersburg, on April 28. A citizen saw suspicious subjects in the parking lot just before midnight. One suspect broke the window of a van and attempted to steal the GPS unit, but was chased off by the citizen. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 15-16, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140-160 pounds, long black hair, arrived in a black Toyota with two other males, no further description.

*18800 block of Bent Willow Circle in Germantown, overnight between April 23 and April 24. Two airbags stolen from a 1988 Honda Accord.

Commercial burglary

*Public Storage, 19900 Goshen Road in Gaithersburg, between 6:15 p.m. on April 22 and 12:30 p.m. on April 23. Eleven units were broken into. The suspect(s) cut through the mechanism that secures the lock, rather than cutting through the lock itself. Unknown if property taken.

*BP Service Station, 19304 Montgomery Village Ave., Montgomery Village, between 4 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. on April 27. Forced entry, property taken.

Residential burglary

*Blue Ribbon Court in Gaithersburg, at approximately 11:45 p.m. on April 25. No forced entry, nothing taken.

*12000 block of Suffolk Terrace in Gaithersburg, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on April 26. The resident heard noises coming from the basement and the suspect was scared off before entry was made.

*Dalamar Street in Gaithersburg, at 12:30 a.m. on April 27. The resident observed the suspect climbing through an open window of his apartment. The victim yelled and the suspect fled.

*9700 Leatherfern Terrace in Gaithersburg, between April 22 and April 27. Forced entry to apartment, property taken.

*18400 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village, on April 29. The victim observed the suspect enter the apartment through an unlocked window. May involve a known suspect. Nothing taken.

*19500 block of Frederick Road in Germantown overnight between April 26 and April 27. No forced entry, property taken.
