Congratulations, Frederick, on English declaration

Kudos to Frederick County for declaring English as their official language!

It's about time this subject has been addressed. The reasoning behind this declaration is to save taxpayers in Frederick County tax dollars that have been spent on having to print countless documents in both English and Spanish.

What a great idea!

How about Montgomery County? How many tax dollars can you save us residents if we did the same thing?

There is no excuse for not learning English. Check out the community calendar in The Gazette. There are numerous free classes in English offered in many locations.

Many of our ancestors came from non-English speaking countries, and they learned English because they had to!

Come on Montgomery County! Let's get going. We would all appreciate lower taxes.
