The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Aggravated assault
-On April 18 at 2:10 a.m. in the 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road in Damascus. The victims were walking across the parking lot when the suspects assaulted them.
Robbery
-On April 15 between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Turtle Rock Terrace and Grand Elm Street in Germantown. The victim was punched and his property taken. The victim and the suspect are known to one another.
Strong-arm robbery
-On April 16 at 5 p.m. in the 19900 block of Aircraft Drive in Germantown. The victim was on a Ride On bus when the defendant grabbed the victim's iPod and handed it to Suspect No. 2. The suspects then attempted to get off the bus. Suspect No. 1 was stopped by the bus driver and arrested when police arrived. Suspect No. 2, described as a 16-year-old black female, fled.

-25500 block of Coltrane Drive in Damascus, overnight between April 19 and April 20. Vehicle left unlocked, nothing taken.

-Cross Ridge Court in Germantown, overnight between April 16 and April 17. Suspects tampered with the door lock to gain entry, tools taken.
-18400 block of Bent Willow Court in Germantown, on April 18. Broke window, GPS, satellite radio, EZ pass taken.
-19000 block of Bronco Drive in Germantown, overnight between April 15 and April 16. Vehicle left unlocked, nothing taken.
-13100 block of Wonderland Way in Germantown, overnight between April 15 and April 16. Broke window, radar detector, Sirius radio system taken.

Residential burglary
-11000 block of Cross Laurel Drive in Germantown, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. on April 15. Forced entry, property taken.
-20000 block of Sweetgum Circle in Germantown, between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on April 14. Unknown entry, property taken.
Aggravated assault
-On April 17 at the Bubble Café Pho Restaurant, 12123 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg. The known suspect attacked the victim with a meat cleaver. The suspect was arrested on April 27.
Theft
-On April 16 at 4:30 p.m. at Nordstrom Rack, 15760 Shady Grove Road in Rockville. The suspect engaged in a physical altercation with the Loss Prevention officer trying to stop him. At one point, the suspect's brother also intervened. Both were arrested.
Vehicle theft
-Honey Brook Lane in Gaithersburg at 7:30 a.m. on April 16. The owner momentarily left his vehicle unattended with the engine running and upon his return found a suspect in his vehicle. The victim jumped into the passenger seat and the suspect fled. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 15-17, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, long curly black hair. Suspect No. 2 was described as a Hispanic male, 15-17, 5 feet 9 inches tall, short hair. Suspect No. 3 was described as a white male, 15-17, driver of a green 4 door.
