Montgomery College Offers Up Full Menu of ‘Healthy’ Courses

Montgomery College offers an extensive menu of credit and noncredit courses in health enhancement, exercise science, and physical education, for students interested in adult fitness, personal training, worksite wellness, cardiac rehabilitation, health promotion, community health, athletic coaching, and teaching health or physical education at the elementary or secondary level.

The College offers an associate of arts degree (A.A.) in four different tracks, which provide the first two years of a typical four-year curriculum of a bachelor’s degree: 

* Exercise Science⁄Health Fitness Leadership (endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine)

*Physical Education Teacher Preparation ⁄Coaching

*Health Education

*Health Education⁄Gerontology Option

Montgomery College also offers a certificate program in personal training, which prepares students to become knowledgeable and skilled in one-to-one-fitness and wellness instruction.
