Reason for running: To ensure continued forward momentum.
Top three priorities: Support local businesses in bringing greater productivity and aesthetics to our commercial corridor. Complete Community Garden and have it realize its full potential. MARC train station in East Gate Industrial Park
Why should people vote for you? In two years Cottage City has achieved 24hour police coverage, new playground equipment, regular bilingual newsletter, technology upgrades and successful community events. We have rebuilt bridges with community partners and are well regarded within the governor's office.
Other relevant activities: Maryland Mayor's Association, Academy of Excellence in Government Service Fellow, Town Newsletter Writer/Editor, Anacostia Trails Heritage Area Board Member, exchange student host, and active participant/organizer of community events.

Occupation: Retired Navy and selfemployed carpenter
Reason for running: I'd like to see more community involvement and greater accessibility and participation.
Top three priorities: Continued community policing efforts. Moving meeting times and restructuring meeting agenda. Fencing along Cottage Terrace and railroad tracks.
Why should people vote for you: I've lived in Cottage City for 21 years. I have two grown sons; both are married and are living in the area. I speak English, French, German and some Italian.
Other relevant activities: I participate in many activities in Cottage City. Played Santa for annual Breakfast with Santa; was a Christmas elf. Help in Cottage City cleanups and in the planting of trees and shrubs.

Occupation: Help Desk Analyst
Reason for running: To improve city services and quality of life here in Cottage City. We need change and more community related activities for the youth as well as for our senior citizens.
Top three priorities: Working to lower property taxes. Community policing — having officers exit their vehicles and getting to know the residents and business owners. Work to support legislation to save our citizens from facing foreclosure.
Why should people vote for you? I've been a longtime resident, and I understand the issues and concerns of the residents and will be their voice on the commission.
