Real Maryland practices for the opening of its second season Thursday at Richard Montgomery High School. The Monarchs open the 2009 USL Second Division season at home Saturday against the Bermuda Hogges. The team helped to fund construction of the stadium last summer and is one of a number of outside organizations taking advantage of the school's brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities.
