The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Aggravated assault
- On March 19 at 12:45 a.m. in the 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road in Damascus. The incident was between the victim and a male friend.
- On March 21 between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Clearspring Elementary School, 9930 Moyer Road in Damascus. The victim was threatened at knifepoint by two male juvenile suspects. The victim fled the scene and notified police.
Armed robbery
- On March 24 at 12:19 p.m. at the 7-Eleven, 6848 Laytonsville Road in Laytonsville. The four suspects entered the business, displayed weapons and ordered the clerks to the ground. The suspects took property and fled.
Attempted vehicle theft
- 12100 block of Skipjack Drive in Germantown, at 3:15 a.m. on March 20. The victim awoke to a car door closing, looked out the window and noticed two male suspects pushing her 1995 Acura Integra from her driveway. The victim yelled at the suspects and they fled. The vehicle had been left unlocked and the ignition was tampered with.
Vehicle larceny
- Area of Wisteria Drive and Great Seneca Highway in Germantown, overnight between March 16 and March 17. Forced entry, property taken.
- 12500 block of Laurel Grove Place in Germantown, overnight between March 19 and March 20. Forced entry, tools taken.
- 20000 block of Century Boulevard in Germantown, between 9 p.m. and 1:25 p.m. on March 19. Unlocked vehicle, GPS units taken from two vehicles. Six adults were arrested.
Residential burglary
- 21100 block of Tulip Poplar Way in Germantown, between 11 p.m. March 19 and 6 a.m. March 20. No signs of forced entry, garage ransacked property vandalized, nothing taken.
- 11800 block of Quassia Court in Germantown, between 2 a.m. and 2:10 a.m. on March 21. No signs of forced entry, property taken.
- 10400 block of Damascus Park Lane in Damascus, between 10 a.m. Feb. 27 and 11:55 a.m. March 18. No signs of forced entry, nothing taken.
- 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown, on March 17. No forced entry, nothing taken. The incident is domestic. The male suspect was arrested.
- 12500 block of Laurel Grove Place in Germantown, on March 24. Domestic-related.
- 12500 block of Willow Springs Court in Germantown, between 5 p.m. March 23 and 11 a.m. March 24. No signs of forced entry, nothing taken.
- 14000 block of Gallop Hill Terrace in Boyds, between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 17. Forced entry, property taken.
- 18900 block of Falling Star Road in Boyds between 7:30 a.m. and 5:56 p.m. March 23. Forced entry, property taken.
- 18300 block of Bubbling Star Terrace in Boyds, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 23. Forced entry, property taken.
