John Ferguson

John Bruce Ferguson, 64, of Clarksburg died April 1, 2009, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born March 12, 1945, in Westerly, R.I., he was a son of the late John J. and Barbara A. Craig Ferguson.
He was the husband of Judy K. Ferguson for 42 years.
Mr. Ferguson was a fire protection engineer. He owned and operated Ferguson Engineering. He was a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association and the International Code Council.
He was active in fastpitch softball and was one of the founders of the Damascus Flames, the Damascus girls' softball league. He was also an umpire in the N.S.A. and A.S.A., and was a virtual encyclopedia of sports trivia.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, two brothers, three sisters and numerous
other family members.
Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Ferguson.
A memorial celebration of Mr. Ferguson's life was held April 7 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church in Ijamsville. Inurnment will be private.
Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home in Damascus was in charge of arrangements.
