East county schools to put on spring performances

Several eastern Montgomery County school are holding spring theater performances.

Northwood musicians take part in Festival Disney

Northwood High School’s choir, orchestra, jazz ensemble, marching and concert bands participated in Festival Disney March 14 and 15 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Kissimmee, Fla.

The festival series schedule includes two days of performances where band, choral, dance, auxiliary, jazz, and concert ensembles receive valuable written and recorded feedback from music educators, according to a news release from Festival Disney.

Festival Disney is open to junior, middle and high school music groups.

The Montgomery County Forensics League held its finals tournament March 14 and March 15 at James Hubert Blake High School.
