Housing program no longer needed

If County Executive Isiah Leggett is serious about balancing the budget, one good place to start would be to eliminate the affordable housing program.

The affordable housing situation is solving itself, a fact that, based on this year’s ridiculously inflated property tax assessments, is clearly lost on our county’s government.

Does it really make sense to take money from county residents for a program like this, when so many current homeowners are struggling to keep their homes?
