To be transgender is to be uncomfortable in your own body. To be transgender is to be uncomfortable in your relationships. To be transgender is to be uncomfortable in your community. To be transgender is to be uncomfortable in either bathroom.

If we use the bathroom that matches our anatomy we risk violence. If we use the bathroom that matches our gender presentation we risk causing outrage and being escorted out.

Unisex bathrooms are uncommon in the U.S. and single person facilities are not common enough. What are we to do?

Why should a trip to the bathroom be a stressful experience for us? We’re there to do the same exact thing as you, nothing more, nothing less. Why is this too much to expect?

Yes, a transgender bill is needed.
