Police Report

The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Aggravated assault

*On March 15 at 8:35 a.m. in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard in Gaithersburg It was domestic-related. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 pounds, 40.

*On March 15 around 9:30 p.m. at China Jade restaurant, 16805 Crabbs Branch Way in Rockville. Two employees had a dispute over how a dish should be prepared.

Theft⁄purse snatching

*On March 13 at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Beacon Square Court in Gaithersburg. An arrest was made nearby on Sioux Lane resulting in the recovery of property. A 17-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested.

*On March 13 at approximately 10:15 p.m. in the 400 block of South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg. The female victim was approached by the two suspects who began tugging at her backpack and demanding money. The victim ran to the other side of the street and MCP was contacted. Both men, a 39-year-old of no fixed address and a 19-year-old from Gaithersburg were arrested nearby.

Vehicle larceny

*Cinnabar Drive at East Village Avenue in Montgomery Village, between 8 p.m. on March 16 and 7 a.m. on March 1. Some vehicles were vandalized and several more had property stolen from them.

*100 block of Duvall Lane in Gaithersburg between March 14 and March 18. Vehicle parts taken from Toyota Corollas.

*Hutton Street in Gaithersburg, between March 12 and March 13. Vehicles were either unlocked or showed no signs of forced entry.

*Olde Town Avenue in Gaithersburg, on March 13. Vehicles were either unlocked or showed no signs of forced entry.

*Peony Drive in Gaithersburg, between March 16 and March 17. Vehicles were either unlocked or showed no signs of forced entry.

Vehicle theft

*Sapling Hill Way in Gaithersburg. overnight between March 15 and March 16. Attempt only, damage done to the vehicle.

*18300 block of Streamside Drive in Gaithersburg, overnight between March 15 and March 16. 1994 Honda Accord 4-Door. Attempt only, damage done to the vehicle.

*18800 block of Cross Country Lane in Gaithersburg overnight between March 15 and March 16. 1998 Plymouth Voyager. Attempt only, damage done to the vehicle.

Commercial burglary

*Muddy Branch Veterinarian Center, 333 Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg, at approximately 7:50 p.m. on March 16. No forced entry, property taken.

*Christ the Servant Church at 9801 Centerway Road in Montgomery Village, at approximately 7:15 a.m. on March 13. A male suspect was found in the basement. The suspect fled immediately upon his discovery. It was later learned that a side window was the point of entry.

*Law office, 320 East Diamond Ave. in Gaithersburg, between 7 p.m. on March 12 and 1 p.m. on March 13. Forced entry, property taken.

Residential burglary

*1100 block of West Side Drive in Gaithersburg, between 8:40 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on March 11. Forced entry, property taken.

*Unit block of Strath Haven Court in Montgomery Village. between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on March 11. Attempt only, no entry made.
