Cabin John resident Harriett Crosby was rehabilitating a red fox, which she named Munchkins, as well as a baby fox when she was cited for keeping wildlife without a permit. The animals were later euthanized. Crosby has said she will not sue a Department of Natural Resources officer who seized the foxes days after he issued her a citation giving her 45 days to obtain a permit to rehabilitate wildlife or release the animals.
