Urbana makes donation to Rock Creek School

Urbana Highplans mulch sale

The Urbana High School Band program will hold its annual mulch sale from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 12, in the Urbana High School parking lot.

Bags of hardwood mulch will be available for $4.25 for each 3-cubic-foot bag. Free delivery is available for orders of 20 or more bags for those within school district. Mulch can be purchased in advance or purchased the day of the event.

Rock Creek setfor Bowl-A-Thon

Rock Creek School’s 3rd Annual Student Bowl-A-Thon will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 8, in the Rock Creek School Gymnasium. Students will bowl to raise funds for the school’s PTA fund. Last year’s Bowl-A-Thon raised more than $1,000.

All students from Rock Creek, a specialized school that serves students with disabilities, are expected to participate in the event.

Walkersville on parfor golf tournament

Walkersville High School’s PTSA needs players to participate in the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament on May 17.

The cost is $75 per player and includes green fees, cart, range balls, tees, sleeve of balls and a dinner.

The tournament will start at 1 p.m.

All proceeds collected will be used to support scholarships for Walkersville High’s graduating seniors who are continuing their education.
