Damascus, Sr., 215 pounds (33-0)

Followed state football championship with perfect season that included sweep of county, regional and state titles.

Without one dominant wrestler, immediately led Vikings to undefeated regular season, victory at 4A-3A West Region Duals.

Despite not wrestling until last year, improved to point of being state runner-up, while also winning county and regional titles.

Third consecutive year with stranglehold on weight class, winning county and regional titles and finishing second at states.

Dislocated elbow all that denied Garey — county champion with 24 pins on season — chance at regional- and state-tournament runs.

Brilliant come-from-behind victory in county final highlighted emerging star’s sophomore season.

Capped impressive season by placing fifth at National Preps while taking first in IAC and St. Albans meets and second at MISC.

Reached state final for third time in three-year career, where he sustained only loss on season.

His 141 career wins are second-most in Montgomery County history, behind McCarty. Also won three county and three region titles.

Key component to county-title team. Individually, captured county and region crowns, placing sixth at state meet.

Already one of school’s most accomplished wrestlers ever, did not lose once until regional final.

Leader of IAC championship team, Gaffney won IAC and MISC titles and placed fifth at National Preps to earn All-America honors.
