Should we also ban hats and sunglasses?

To the person who believes people who tint their car windows are criminals or should move to Alaska (Letters, March 13):

We can’t identify a person wearing sunglasses and hats. Should we make those items illegal as well? Should they move to the Arctic Circle?

Window tinting makes a huge difference on eye strain while driving.

I have had my windows tinted in the past, and it makes my hour-long commute more peaceful.

I am not a criminal. It is not about hiding from the sun. It is about getting blinded by a mirror on another car, or the reflection of the sun from an eight-foot road sign that is, in fact, designed to reflect light.

Perhaps you should move to Alaska so you will no longer be affected by those criminal, sun phobic, cancer-ridden people.

By the way, window glass blocks UV rays, therefore, cancer is not an issue.
