Commissioners to meet in Mount Airy

Even residents from other counties and outside town limits are invited to attend, said Vivian Laxton, county spokeswoman.

Board President Julia W. Gouge (R) of Hampstead and commissioners Dean L. Minnich of Westminster and Michael D. Zimmer of Eldersburg are expected.

Meetings between the commissioners and the community ‘‘rotate different locations in the county,” said Laxton, adding topics are ‘‘set by the people who come in.”

Previous meetings yielded questions about road and zoning issues, she said.

County department heads usually attend as well, Laxton said.

Monday’s meeting takes place the day before commissioners start their budget process, she added.
