Swimmer of the Year

Katura Harvey, Richard Montgomery, Sr., Undefeated in individual events this year, and helped set Metros record in 400 freestyle relay. Bound for North Carolina.

Diver of the Year

Meg Hostage, Holy Cross, Sr., Won Metros and WMPSSDL championships by more than 100 points, setting meet records at each.

*Cara Chuang, Richard Montgomery, Fr., Small-yet-powerful freshman crushed record to win 100 backstroke at Metros. Second in 200 individual medley and part of record-setting 400 freestyle relay.

*Christine Chuang, Poolesville, Sr., Earned automatic All-American honors by winning 100 butterfly at Metros. Finished second in event at counties.

*Heather Denman, Sherwood, Jr., Warriors ace racked up top-three finishes in 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly at Metros, took second in 100 backstroke at county meet.

*Colleen Haase, Good Counsel, Sr., Set to swim at University of Georgia next winter, dominated 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley events at Metros; part of winning 200 medley relay.

*Anais Menguy, Richard Montgomery, Soph., Picked up third in 200 freestyle and second in 100 butterfly at Metros; helped set 400 freestyle relay record at area’s biggest event. Won 100 butterfly at counties.

*Kristen Moores, Quince Orchard, Sr., Picked up second-place finishes in 100 and 200 freestyle events at Metros, earning automatic All-American honors in 100 freestyle.

*Elena Spak, Walter Johnson, Jr., Received All-American honors for second-place swim in 50 freestyle at Metros; finished third in 100 freestyle.

*Megan Waters, Good Counsel, Sr., Princeton-bound, set Metros record en route to winning 50 freestyle. Won 100 freestyle and 200 medley relay.

Coach of the Year

Christa Krukiel, Richard Montgomery, 12th year, Led Rockets to fourth consecutive undefeated season. First in county, third at Metros
