Police search for 7-Eleven robber Thursday, March 9, 2006 Maryland State Police are searching for a suspect who robbed an Eldersburg convenience store Wednesday night.
At 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, troopers responded to 7-Eleven, 2033 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, in response to a call about a robbery that had occurred just minutes before.
According to police, an unknown male wearing a mask entered the store demanding money from a lone employee. The suspect did not display a weapon, but kept his hands in his pockets and handed over a small paper bag. The employee complied with the demands and gave the suspect money from the register. The suspect walked from the store leaving the employee unharmed.
A Maryland State Police K-9 unit responded and discovered a trail that led to a nearby parking lot, but the ended in the lot on the west side of the 7-Eleven.
The suspect is a 25- to 30-year-old black man with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black, bandanna-style mask on his face, a black sweatshirt with pockets on each side, blue jeans and a knit hat. He is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build.
