Montgomery County Police are looking for an 83-year-old Montgomery Village woman who was last seen 8:30 a.m. Friday in Silver Spring.
Yuk Yu was staying with another family member in the 3300 block of Harrell Street. Residents of the household heard her walking through the house Friday morning. When the residents of the home checked for her again around 10:30 a.m., she had disappeared.
Yu is a diabetic and does not have her medication with her, according to police. She walks with a limp and does not understand English. She does understand Cantonese but cannot speak because of a previous stroke.
She is Asian, 5 feet tall and 112 pounds with brown eyes and short gray hair. She was wearing a burgundy sweater coat with black flowers, black pants and white tennis shorts.
