A Bowie teenager was killed by an unknown gunmen after leaving a club in Clinton early Sunday morning.

Courtney Lawrence Manning, 16, of the 6400 block of Gwinnett Lane, was found just after midnight inside his Cadillac at Woodyard Road and Pine View Lane in Clinton with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.

Another male was shot during the incident. Cpl. Debbie Carlson said it was unclear if the second victim was in the car with Manning, as there were two cars that were shot at by the suspects. The second victim was later taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries, Carlson said.

Manning and the other victim left Club Neon, a dance club for those under 18-years-old located in the 9000 block of Old Branch Avenue, just prior to the shooting.

Police said a black four-door vehicle with tinted windows pulled alongside Manning’s car and fired shots into the Cadillac.

Police ask anyone with information to call the county’s homicide unit at 301-772-4925 or can make an anonymous call to Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8411). Police are offering a $25,000 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
